Nice, love that UB still works at my work.

Trash talk between you two is fun!

FYI, there is an option available where you can set it up so you only chat after clicking in the chat window if you care. It will prevent all the cross table typing due to the other windows popping up..

Did u guys see that laydown with Queens? I really didnt like it but obvbiously im out of my element on this one. Any thoughts?

Mahatmah raises pot, kane makes it 900, mahatmah reraises to 3k. Kane calls. flop is 333. Mahatmah pushed for 11k. Kane thinks then folds QQ faceup.

Man, I keep thinking about it and it blows my mind. I would love to trade spots and call for him with my own money here. Its just such a great flop for that hand and they are playing heads up. Well I guess thats why Kanes got the cash, the ability to make a big laydown. I just dont agree with it this time but Im sure he has very valid reasons.

showing the QQ fold on the 333 flop can f with people. if prahlad is holding AA/KK/3x he knows he just got outplayed, just as much as someone showing him a sweet river bluff.

also i think prahlad would have jumped at this chance to show you a bluff/weaker hand than QQ. so the laydown looked good.

My response had little to do with KKF or Mahatma. It had more to do with the fact that ascertaining relative skill levels based on a few hands from a single session is ridiculous. Not saying that's what you're doing, but that's the way it seems a lot of people take many of these threads. However, I could show you a set of hands that makes just about every regular player in these games look super-live. In some cases, it's because they are indeed live. In other cases, they just got in some bad spots or made a bad read.

Had you watched me play last week, you would have thought I was the best 25/50 player around, stacking everyone in his path. Had you watched me play this week, you would have seen me get stacked left and right.

JihadOnTheRiver
11-10-2005, 08:18 PM
Yeah I definetely am getting a little tired of hearing people make large scale judgements of skill based on a very narrow sample. I thought I qualified my statement well enough, guess not. I am not part of the crowd that you are refering to. I just find it entertaining that EVERY time I've watched this game, KKF has been the dominant force, but I'm allowing that there is probably many times (as I'm sure KKF would admit to) that he did stupid stuff of just plain lost a lot of money.

This is true for everyone at all stakes. And many times when you fuk up bluffs and go back to look at them, in retrospect your opponent's hand seems transparent. But you feel stupid when you realize this and the table views you as stupid, but everyone is just being results oriented.

I mean, the "you" here prolly refers to me, but i figure it must be true for lots of players.

FWIW I was in the process of doing a short stack hit and run on the UB 50/100 a few hours ago when Mahatma was talking with the other big stack and he typed that he'd just switched back to this account after running bad on another recently. No idea if Prahlad is Arbitrary or not but that comment did seem to suggest it to some degree.

I think that the Arbritrary account is used by multiple players. Right now, I am 99.9% sure that Praland is one of those players.

Other then having multiple styles of play and making it a little more challenging for opponents to play against you, what are the benefits of having multiple users share an account?

I'll assume prahlad has a suffecient enough bankroll not to need other users for the 50/100 game, but I could be wrong.

I'm not really aware of how to play NLHE properly, so I'm curious as to why you raised from 900 to 2000, which was way under the pot at this time.

HMMM, I don't understand the question neither the answer. Why do you say 2000 is way under the pot. 2000 is above and not under, what is the point ?

[/ QUOTE ]a repot would be 2700, but he only made it 2000. KKF said he did this b/c if he made too big a raise he would lose all the total crap hands
