Meh, this is tricky. I only see two possible hands here, a set of 5's or the nut flush draw. I think jacks or higher would of re raised preflop, and jack X would not check raise that flop. I'm leaning more towards him having the flush draw so I call the push.

My guess leads me to beleive villain would push any straight or straight draw and c/r w/ a 9 and lead with a jack.

Did villain possibly have 2 pair or k9,q9?

Please explain the min-raise.

So limp JJ but raise A9o UTG? Man I really don't get the 109s I guess.

Do they never flat call an UTG raise with a big PP at the $109s? Why is not possible for BB to have QQ or KK and want to take this pot down now?

i think this is very read-dependent

I'd raise JJ here. I limp it early in EP because there's enough tards in that half the time I send up getting called by all three overcards. On this hand, I min raise tons of stuff in this spot when I'm feeling frisky because it gets so much respect. A9 is at the bottom of the ace range I would raise here. (probably should make it AT really)

Villain is a well known pro. (which is why I'm picking on his bb)

Pretty sure just stopping here would do that. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

Oh I see! Why the minraise? Is that somewhat standard for you, or a function of your stack size, or something to do with the well-known pro in the BB? Is he apt to fold to minraises?

I would raise more preflop (250-275) if I decided to raise this and then bet a little over half pot on the flop. Then calling is much easier. I would guess that villian is on a draw or a weaker 9 enough of the time that this is a good call.

I don't like pf or the flop call really.

You may be flipping on the flop, but I don't see you ahead too often. C-bet is a must.

I think you should make AT your new minimum for a pfr from this spot too. Making it 250 seems much better than 200 because BB is alot less likely to peel IMO.

No disrespect intended. What's the point of this post? There seems to me some meta-game, situational stuff going on here. This reminds me of some of the BK posts about hands with Schneids. There's just too much other fluff occurring that we would need to know about for us to make any definitive decisions about this hand.

As I said before, no disrespect, I'm just hoping to find out what the other fluff is. Or better yet, who he is. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Nothing personal, but this entire line looks retarded to me. If it's a move of some sort, I sure don't get it.

If you want to get into a pissing contest with a "well-known pro", that's your prerogative, of course.
