I have 1900 chips and so does Button. Table #3 (so we'll be together a while).

As soon as level went to BB/100, he raises 300 from the button against my BB. I said to myself "No way. We're not starting this crap already. I'm going to teach him a lesson about trying to steal my blind." I re-raise him all-in with Q5s. He calls with JJ.

At the time I reraised, I thought I was a gutsy player who wouldn't be pushed around and would let the table know that. In retrospect, I'm an [censored].

Looks like a standard play to me. I don't see what's wrong with the push. Seems results oriented.

I like this play fine, and I'm sure many players on this site do.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but this is something I always ask before I post:

Would I be making this post if the results were different?

It's always a good think to ask I think, because so often we feel as if we made a mistake because we lost. If you hadn't lost this hand you wouldn't have thought twice about it.

But seriously, these moves are required, and I like it right after an increase in the blinds.

There's a fine line between agression and donkeydom.
