I just got done with my 3rd exam within the past 20 hours, so I decided that I'd drink and then go to class.

Am I showing signs of alcoholism, or just collegism?

alcohollegism?

Def. Collegism, possibly alchoholism.

I'm regularly drunk by 10am. But I generally don't wake up until 8 or 9pm.

I'd say stupidity. Class = buzzkill.

Unless the title of the course is "The Evolution of Porn During the 20th Century."

"Introduction to the Theory of Computation" - close enough?

Skip class, go down the bar, and stop being a lightweight.

If you can make a post with no typos, you are not that drunk and definitly are not an alcoholic. See if you can dig up some of my drunk posts for reference purposes. The titles with proabably be something like "osahf"

I think I am still drunk from last night. Now I have to browse the forum and look at my drunken posts.

Not even close. As your legal adviser, I suggest adding quaaludes to the mix.

I wanna be drunk at 11am, but it's already 7pm here. How much do I have to drink to get the effects working backwards through time?

Excellent taste in beer, I prefer the chocolate stout but it's so damn hard to find. Remember you're not an alcoholic if you drink the good stuff, just an afficianado.

I also perfer the chocolate it is probably my favorite American Beer. I have no trouble finding it here in Texas, that sucks for you, it is a regular on my list.

If he were an alcoholic he'd be pretty good at typing while drunk, so we can't really make either of these conclusions from his post.

Heroism.

It would be better if you were going to a class with lots of class participation, though.

My senior year at Michigan, I took Intro to African American Studies, and I was one of three Asians in the class and there were two white kids. The rest were black. Almost every single sentence spoken in that class was controversial. I really wanted to show up blitzed at least once, but I never had the balls. Probably for the best in terms of my physical well-being, there were at least two athletes in that class.

It's normal to catch a celebratory buzz after a tough exam, much less three in a day.

I've never been able to deal with the drinking in the morning thing, even though I don't hold morning sacred or anything, like some people who think coffee is fine but a soda completely blows their minds, or think that having a sandwich for breakfast is just crazy. But in the morning, I'm trying to set myself up for getting through a long day, not shutting down my system. I can barely get it going for a few hours, and beer sure won't help.

I guess it's fair that all bets are off after a bunch of tough exams, though. But I just don't like drinking much in the morning. And going to class drunk is something I've never done and doubt I would like.

inspired by this post and my personal experience.

i always drink in the evening, with maybe a beer at lunch or something. until recently, i've only been high in the evening or at night as well. however, my morning smokeup session went very well. i was productive at work, awake throughout the whole experience, etc.

Hah sweet. I'm at Michigan right now and one of the dudes who lives in my house is in an intro to Afro-Caribbean Studies class, he says he is one of 3 white guys, and the other two white guys are on the football team.

Anyway, I went to class but fell asleep in the back. I could have done that at home.

Burnout was my and my co-workers usual excuse. I used to work at a place where for a while, it was habit to go out to a bar for lunch every day and it wasn't unusual that several days a week, we would not come back. Luckily, most of the managers and directors did the same thing, so there wasn't much backlash.

The worst day I was a part of was on Good Friday a few years back. We went to the bar with all good intentions of going back to work. At about 1:00 we decided to try the Long Island Iced Teas the bartender was learning to make (as a favor to her), and by 3:00 she had us into the Flaming Dr. Pepper shots.

Returning at 6:00 and trying to respond to my manager's irate e-mails was not the smartest thing I've ever done. I kept the notes after reading them in the light of sobriety as a reminder to never communicate while drunk!!!
