View Full Version : Do you think TLB pts should be allowed for the $20 Stars 180 SNGs?

I don't think these should be included for pts for the TLB board. Any other thoughts?

I just think that a tourney that is run one after another shouldn't count.

I dont think it really matters, since you are only allowed to use your top 10 point totals for the week, and (just conjecturing here) but i suspect if you won 10 20 table sng's in a week, you still wouldnt be at the top. But I may be way off, since i dont know how the algorithm works.

Not to be biased even though i play these alot, but a tourney is a tourney, the format isnt any different from your scheduled tournament but i can see where you are coming from.

uh, if you win 10 of these, you definitely will win for the week.

If you win 10 of these i say that is quite an accomplishment and should be recognized for a 1st in TLB.

Why do they still have SNG labeled next to it? Kinda weird

I'm sure someone know this. How many pts. would you have if you did win 10 in a week.

I was way off then.

In any case, I wouldn't expect playing these exclusively would be a shortcut to a TLB win. But then again, I may be way wrong on this one too. Been wrong a lot lately, so nothing new if i am.

Because they don't have a set starting time, they wait until everyone sits to play, and then begin, so it technically is a SNG.

yes, but then why don't they count 5 table SnGs? or 3 tables? some MTTs have only that many people.

i think they shouldn't count b/c there's so damn many of them. it'd be very easy for a mediocore player to have a really good shot of winning the weekly, or monthly TLB by simply playing hunderds of these a week.

on that note...if anybody wants to lay odds of 4:1 that i can win next week by playing tons of them, then i'll bet any amount <= $1000.

OR, any amount <= 2000 on even money that i can make the top 5.

of course if my bet provoked tons of 2+2ers to go crazy on them, then my bet will cerainly be -EV for me, but if everyone put up crazy high scores then that would prove my point even more. so if anyone wants to bet on a point amount (like 2000 or so), then i'll do that too. ( i think i'd go even money for 2000)

How many of these run per day?

There's no way anybody could win 10 in a week. 10 final tables, maybe.

They just run one after the other.

they run 24/7.. betgo said he played 25 of them yesterday, i'd think you could get 30+ of these in in a night, so final table-ing 10 of these certainly is possible.

The only way I would take this bet is if I did a nip/tuck style reward for someone beating you. And I would be playing every one of these 180 man tournaments I could for 14 hours a day.

309.44 pts for winning one of these things ...10 definitely put you on TLB
