Villian and I just played a pot last hand. He made the same weak lead at a flush draw, then bet fairly big when he connected. Same LP limp, which he'd been doing.

Any sizeable bet on the turn is going to make the pot very big on the river, basically committing me against anything except a jack falling. So I decided to make an extra large bet here, hoping maybe he's got a jack or 8 and wants to snap off my "semi bluff."

My Shania might need some work, but I'm not going to start with this hand.

I like your thinking...this is pretty much an open shut hand. I think 100% of the time you get called here you're ahead (you know that already I'm sure) and why not look desperate and make him make a HUGE mistake in the meantime...if not, nice pot anyways...nh

I think the necessary bet size depends on villan. I assume you wanted a call here.

I think potting it is more likely to result in a call - which is good. I would of potted it.
