I raise AhQc utg. folded to sb who 3 bets, bb folds I call.

Flop: 2c 9h 5c

He bets, I call.

Turn: 3h

I play this the same way. I'm anxious to hear what I'm doing wrong.

I wouldn't change a thing. The turn is thin but the gutshot really gives you enough to call against his preflop range there.

Calling down cost you 3 bets. I assume you'll call the river UI

You can try capping preflop and raising the lead on the flop, folding if 3 bet or donked, and if not, calling a river UI. You risk between 1.5 - 2.5 bb this way but you may have to fold to a JJ.
