Generally raising KJ under the gun is not good. It depends an awful lot on the table though. If you have a tight image, or most of the table is tight, than you can do it for a steal. But vs a loose table, you should just fold it.

I think you folded the best hand. :P

I disagree with the first response. I think you made a good lay down. Kojack is just a mediocre hand. you're beat by any ace and a king with a higher kicker. The toughness of the table and your image are both high factors to consider. More importantly is the position you are in at the tourney. If you have the big stack I think fewer will call but a small stack and many will call. also, if you're near the bubble fewer people are expected to call.

good luck

I didnt even look at the rest of the hand actually. Do you really agree that the raise of KJs UTG is OK? With some reads on the table sure, but he didnt list any reads. As for the rest of the hands, I think the turn fold is pretty standard given the way the rest of the hand played.

never raise KJ utg unless it's nearing bubble play and everyone is uber-tight

okay Im not going to say 'never', but under normal cicrumstances this is a lay down for me pre flop

I don't understand why you'd raise KJ UTG and then look for any reason to get away from it. What did you want to see, KKJ? That's about all of a flop you could hope for, so have at it.

And I open limp KJ in that spot. Given that you raised I lead the flop or lead the turn. I'm not done with the hand yet.

Why didn't you fire out after the flop?

Remember when you raise under the gun the people calling will have to have some good cards to call you. In this case two of them did.
Pre flop you want to fold this unless you are very short stacked, or rarely when you are very deep stacked and the table is uber tight and your image is tight.
Post flop you should lead out with a bet. You showed strength pre flop. If you get reraised then you'll have to give up.
On the turn I think you may well be able to take this pot with an all in raise as this 'could' be a steal from a player who has seen both players check twice in front of them. It is a bit too risky though and you shouldn't be in this situation in the first place.
