Villain is a total donk, Loose, but completely random postflop. Very hard to read.

When he just refuses to slow down i start thinking 99 or the straight, is this just MUBS? raise the river?

im assuming no other part of this hand is possibly debatable? let me know if im wrong here

I like the whole hand. Capping the turn may be a bit thin if you're heads-up, but 3-way I think it's probably fine.

EDIT: Wait I didn't see the read. You might need to elaborate on this "donk" factor...

For some reason I feel he cant get away from AA or KK but I still dont raise the river. Nice hand.

Villain is not the PFRer.

havent played enough hands with him to get a decent aggression factor, but donk = he basically seems to have very little idea of poker concepts.

I don't think I can put any more bets in than you did, though I think you probably should.

A minor quibble, but I like a coldcall on the flop because somebody's going to bet the turn with 2 flop raisers in front of you with a decent chance it'll get capped anyway.
Yeah, raise the river for value because MP1 won't overcall what is usually a busted straight/flush anyway.

sorry i dont quite understand this, we think we are ahead and coldcall? if the turns going to get capped anyway and we arent folding any on the flop dont we have a good chance of losing 1.5BB by not putting in the 4th raise on the flop?

the reasons for not raising the river are 100% because i think there is a good chance im behind, nothing to do with going for overcalls. I assumed MP1 had an overpair that was calling a raise or a call on the river.

No I meant the flop could get capped anyway. At the time you have no idea if the turn will get capped; so CC'ing will frequently give you more action on the turn. Flop cap isn't wrong though. I mean, whatever.

Fair enough - I thought your read was stronger than it actually was. It's tough to give someone that much credit for sucking so much.

Anyway, this hand's pretty standard.

ok thanks, i agree that its fairly equal in terms of ev for the flop cap or cc

i kind of expected more people to suggest a river raise, but i guess i played it fine. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif
