In honor of the first 1000 posts in the on-going series of designated NC threads, I'm holding a contest. As a forum, we're going to pick the best No Content post so far. Here are the rules:
1. Only NC posts made in one of the 4 designated NC threads are eligible. Furthermore, only posts made prior to 8 pm EST on 11/8/2005 are eligible. Posts made after that time are eligible for a second contest that may or may not occur at some later date.
2. The contest will proceed in three stages. Stage 1 is this thread. In this thread, I will take nominations. Please nominate threads based on any criteria you wish. Worst beat? Least bad bad beat? Biggest downswing? Best ranting? Hand played most poorly by villain? By hero? Whatever made you laugh the hardest? Anything goes. To nominate a thread, the ideal way is to reply to this post with a link directly to the post you are nominating. This can be done by browsing the old threads in threaded mode (links supplied at the end of this post). Alternatively, you can reply with the name of the author, the text or a description of the post, and the location of the post (for example: first NC thread, about 2/3 of the way in). Please limit yourself to two nominations. There is also no shame in nominating yourself if you feel you made a great post that you don't want overlooked. Nominations will be accepted from 8 PM EST 11/8/2005 to 12 AM EST 11/10/2005.
3. Stage 2 will be an poll to whittle the nominees down to the final 5. Responding to the poll with your picks will mean that your vote counts double. Votes from gimmick accounts or other accounts created just to vote don't count. Voting will go for 24 hours after I post it. In the event that this first poll is insufficient to whittle the nominees down to just 5, there may be an additional poll, subject to the same rules.
4. Stage three will be the finals. Winner takes all. Again, voting goes for 24 hours after I post it.
5. To claim your prize, follow this link (http://www.spreadshirt.com/shop.php?sid=13534) and order one Sup Bro T-Shirt. Forward me your e-mail receipt, and I'll transfer the cost to your Stars account. No, you may not just take the cash. No, you may not order a different shirt. However, if you wish to sell your shirt to someone else, then you can have them pay you, then have them order the shirt and forward me the e-mail, and then I'll make the transfer to their account. I'll pay for standard shipping within the US. International orders are subject to the difference in cost between their shipping charges and the US shipping charge. If you don't have a Stars account, get one.
6. The following posts are automatically nominated: the last post in each of the first three NC threads, the last post in the fourth NC thread made prior to 8 PM EST, and the 1000th post. The 1000th post was made by BluesInSoul, who posted the following:

On the off chance that I miscounted and someone can prove me wrong, then this post is still nominated, and the true 1000th post will receive an automatic nomination as well.
7. That should do it. In the event that that should not do it, please check this thread or subsequent threads for additional clarification of rules. All decisions made by me are final. It's my contest, and I'll cry if I want to.
