I thought it would be good to create a thread where everyone posts there worst poker moments, mainly financial, whether it be having a tragic tilt day, a terrible month(s) of cards, days of thinking 'i had so much more wealth only a few days ago' etc.

This is becuase so often if i have a down biggish down session i feel very annoyed, mainly due to the injustice i have experienced at the poker table, and i find the best cure is to read about others misfortune.

Ill start;

August 2005; the first two weeks having my best run at 1-2NL winning just over $2000 (10 buy ins) and then having by far my worst downswing ever of about the same total (10 buy ins)

Since then ive never recovered the win rate i experienced from Nov04-August05. I hope one day it will come back to me.

There is no injustice at the poker table. Your win rate will never come back to you, you have to go find it.

This kind of thinking is bad and will only get you in trouble.

August 29. My city flooded.

Bad beats happen. Deal with it.

I broke my all time session record, going +7800 in a 10 hour session of live 30-60 limit, and immediately followed it by a week in which I took my largest loss ever, going -11200 in a single week of playing live 40-80 (maybe 18 hours of play total)

I'm taking a few days off now, I've never had swings even close to that big.

Past 35k or so hands have been incredibly streaky for me, lots of horrible beats which lead to some poor play. Down a little bit (was down alot but made it back) after 35k hands. Previously I was at about 65k hands with 6.5ptbb/100 :/

last weekend i ended up losing these hands:

AA vs. AJ, approximately $50. flop is QTK.
AA vs. TT vs. Q4o wtf?? whole board is diamonds; dick with TT has the 10 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif another $50.
KK vs. TT vs. QJs: T on flop; running jacks, they both suckout in a $117 pot.
then in a tourney i get ducks in late position, table folds around to me, i call, sb folds, bb checks. flop is AA2. he bets 400 chips, hes got the ace and i know i got him. i push; he quicky calls and its running 10s /images/graemlins/mad.gif

yeah, i lost about $200-$250 that 2 day span.

i've been shut out of my last 8 sit & go's, and 14 out of 15. also just busted out of the 40K guaranteed when my top 2 pair (AQ) loses to a flopped set.

ok, not financial ruin or death and destruction, but it still sucks.

You are not referring to a win rate.
You are referring to a win streak.

In the space of 4 minutes had 2 sets turned FH's get beaten by quads...that cost me $380...

man, this game sucks.

I was even for the week 2 days ago(week starting last saturday), lost $700 playing 1-2NL SH and 2-4NL SH, and then today another $375.

dig this bad beat for a hand. villan has little respect for me as i try to bluff him a fair bit.

flop 4 7 10, two spades.

me with pockets 4s, i.e set 4s, him with 9 10.
as he has so little respect after a few bet, raise, reraise we are all in for a pot of $340. he hits runner runner spades to win with his 9 spades. Sick. [censored] sick.

This thread sucks. I can't tell if it's a notch above or a notch below a standard bad beat post.
