The standard line is to raise pf to t90, then you can make a c-bet on the flop of t100 or so instead of checking, and get away from it if you get a lot of resistance / raised / you are called and you hit a blank on the turn.

I am not against limping preflop here (with the blinds low), but I'm sure I'm in the minority when I say that.

yeah i guess that makes sense. i've always been confused on where to go in these situations.

I always push the big slick before the flop. I get paid off a lot with AQ and AJ.

I probably raise less preflop and put out a 1/2 pot continuation bet on the flop.

The way you played it, you've got ace high. Let it go.

Just curious, what limits do you play at? I've seen some interesting posts from you.

I played a lot at the $10 game and won lots. I started the $20 games this week. I hope to be at the high levels after the new year. Maybe I should move up sooner but I am cautious. Thank you for your compliment.

Just for future reference (as you continue moving up): this is something that may only work at the $10s and the $20s. You will rarely get called by AQ and AJ at Level 1 at the $50s (although recent donk play has me thinking otherwise), and as you move up in levels, you can't depend on the idiocy of your opponents as much.

Thank you for advice. I wrote this because the title is "(11)" and I thought this is because it is an $11 game. Like I said I am here to learn.

this is for an $11 buy-in. i think he's saying that higher buying games in general won't have donks quite like the 11's
