I just got a modded Xbox mainly for playing old school NES games. But the problem is it will not come on. When i hook it up it starts up and looks like its running normal but it just sits there with a blank screen. Anyone know if there is a quick fix or any sites out there that tell u how to fix this problem. Its and Xecutor 3 chip if thats any help.

I've had ine modded for about 2 years, check out xbox-scene.com and you'll find out more than you ever wanted to know. PM me if you have any further problems. btw, fceultra is the nes emulator of choice.

I'll ask a lame noob question. What does, "modding" your Xbox do?

basically turns it into a computer type machine which can then be given a larger hard drive. you can burn xbox games on there, emulate old games, and watch any movie type on it (like media player).

its solid damn gold.

and pretty cheap too.

Sounds like you have no dashboard installed.

nah, the flashing red light means that his chip isnt seated properly.

i saw that it says press in both power and eject buttonsi did this now its brings up a bios screen but its like its trying to connect to something and just sits there. Any ideas on what to try Im still looking on that site but i do not know what i should be looking for now.

haha, jk, but seriously, get it right. it doesnt matter anyways, as FF3/6 is clearly the superior game. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
