I'm going to Vegas tomorrow for about a week to play various tournaments they offer during the week, including the 500 buy in daily tournament at Bellagio.

I'm happy with buy ins as low as 40, but will definitely play a few of the 500 dollar buy in events at Bellagio and probably Wynn (since I heard they have this same buy in). I'll have enough bankroll to play as many tournaments as I want, but don't plan on going over 500+40 unless I cash well in an earlier event.

I was curious what people's experiences have been with these daily tournaments and style of play. I'm pretty comfortable adjusting to a wide variety of playing styles.

How would you spend a week playing tournaments exclusively the whole time? What do you think of the various cardrooms and tournaments?

I have some live tournament experience (probably a dozen including 2005 ME), have read HoH 1/2, TPFAP, Caro's Book of Tells, and am comfortable playing in these tournaments, but do expect to be outplayed by more seasoned competition.

I'd also enjoy meeting a few LV 2+2ers. PM me.

Try the one-table satellites into the Bellagio $500 tourneys.

I think I mistakenly compared the Wynn's tourney with the Bellagio one. Based on a perfunctory search, the Wynn seems to only have 500 dollar tourneys on Fridays and 300 dollar tourneys on Tu/Th.

The Sahara has a $43 buyin w/ one $20 rebuy every night @ 7pm (I think) and 11pm. Sunday night is kind of a tradition and they get 100 +. Call the poker room in the afternoon and make a reservation and get there by 6:45pm. Plus they bring in a couple of three foot submarines at break for all the players. A $63 meal. What a bargain! It's very loose, lots of grinders, plus lots of tourists. $1500 to start, 25/25, 25/50, 50/100 in 30 minute levels until the break. Loose, loose, loose plus maniacs.

Mondays and Tuesday night at the Orleans are $43 w/unlimited $20 rebuys until the break. I believe Mondays are crazier than Tuesdays with no look all ins, etc. If I remember correctly you get $375 in chips to start, with blinds of 5/10, 10/20, 15/30 until break. Rebuys get you $300 in chips.
