Looking to buy webcams as Christmas gifts so my kids can have video conversations with their out of town Grandparents. Any recommendations appreciated.

Also, does anyone know if there's a monthly fee on Yahoo messanger to use their webcam feature? Does it require broadband to work properly?

Don't do it unless Grandma or Gramps has an engineering degree. There is just too much to go wrong.

I got the Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2204,CONTENTID=10556) for my girlfriend and I.

I use MSN for the conversation itself. It seems to work well with good video and audio. I did some research and it got good reviews.
