What's the probabilty of say, 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif,8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif beating 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif,8 /images/graemlins/club.gif ?

And on top of that, how do you calculate it?

The only way for 8-8 to beat 8-8 is a four flush on board, or a board flush with at least one lower card...excluding any lower straight flushes. In this case there is only one per suit.

(2 * [C(12,4) * 36 + C(12,5) - C(6,5) - 1])/C(48,5) = 2.17%
