Do I complete the SB here?

5/10 live at Brantford Casino, plays just like .5/1 online. Overall a pretty passive table.

Hero is SB with A8o
UTG (TAG) calls
2 folds
MP1 (tight passive) calls
MP2 (loose passive preflop, bets flops with anything) calls
2 folds
Button (rock) calls
Hero???
BB NEVER raises (even with AA/KK)

11-1, but I don't know if this warrants a call given the times I'll be dominated by the preflop passives at this table holding better As. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

I think this is an easy fold. A8o is too easily dominated and you will be OOP on the flop.

If it were A8s it's worth a call...If it were ATo it's worth a call...but that is as low as I would go with AXo in the SB.

Is the SB 2/5 of the BB there? Either way my answer is no given the lineup.

and this is why I suck in the SB...I would call, because 11-1 is a great price, and if you catch your 2 pair (or better) you can get alot out of AT/AJ.

I would complete A9o comfortably, so A8o is probably going to be just less than neutral at worst. I don't see any reason to fear this particular lineup.

The way I interpret your post is that you would call in hopes of improving to two pair or better and then exploiting someone with AT/AJ. Again, sorry...I have been drinking a fine single-malt tonight and am not seeing str8.

The blnds are 2/5 and this is a super easy completion.
