Every time somebody falls in Lost, they find something important, or something important happens.
Examples:
Boone finds the hatch.
Jin sees the dead body of another survivor killed by the others.
There are lots of other examples, pretty much every episode I'm sure.
I'm sure you've noticed this. Which means the writers of the show have noticed.
So are they writing in these falls on purpose? And if so, is it sort of an inside joke, or does it have some sort of deeper meaning (i.e., the island is in control, and has control of its inhabitants).
Or are the writers just lazy, and they need convenient plot-moving devices?
