I hate this...Opponents are practically unknown. I have maybe 3 rounds of stats on them...
This is probably the first time this has ever happened to me. How bad? :P

With unknown opponents...
3-bet pre-flop...
Bet the flop...
Get all the bets in you can on the turn (2nd-nut flush draw + top 2 pair)
Bet the river, unless something on the turn makes you think JT for the straight.
With how you did it, you have to bet the river.

On the flop, you are going to win about 85% of the time against two random hands.
On the turn, you are going to win about 86% of the time.
On the river, you are going to win about 88% of the time.
I think that you should have tried to trap on the flop, but bet out on the turn and river.

I figured after 2 straight rounds of checks, no sane player checks it down again. On the flop, doesn't original PF raiser even if its unknown bet like 95% of the time? So I'm obvisouly trying to c/r flop. I was leading any non A river, btw. WIth Button checking the flop and again on the turn, I had to put him on an Ax. Is my thinking here that horrible?

i hate taking the lead OOP, when i know for sure its going to be 3 handed. Especially with a hand with "very little" showdown value.

I am afraid it is really pretty horrid. I might well have led the flop hoping for a raise. Given the chekc though you must always bet the turn. There are any number of draws that would be only too happy to take a free card, but would pay a bet to see the river.
The CO's passivity is certainly unusual, but that can't be used as an excuse for this monstrosity.
