Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx (http://www.zerodivide.cx/converter)

CO ($860.10)
Button ($400)
SB ($370)
Hero ($576.10)
UTG ($844.65)
MP ($385.28)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif. SB posts a blind of $2.
1 fold</font>, MP raises to $10</font>, CO calls $10, Button calls $10, 1 fold</font>, Hero raises to $66</font>, MP folds, CO raises to $300</font>, Button folds, Hero?

What should I do here? Push? Fold? What's villain's hand range?

villain is 18/13/2.3. He hasn't really gone out of line up until this hand.

uh. push.

is it that easy of a decision? what do you put villain on? his move doesn't make any sense.

You are representing such a good hand CO can't think you will be folding in this spot a lot. It looks close and I don't play NL so you are probably right.

a weak ace thinking you are stealing. a pair like 88 thinking you are stealing. AA. 67s thinking you are stealing. KK. JJ.

shall i continue?

yeah. i guess there are a bunch of things villain can have.
just out of curiosity fslexcduck. do u make this type of play often?

i dont play 400nl but do seemingly tight, in-line players raise to 300 here in such transparent fashion? based on the range of hands you put villain on, do you push with any 2 that you raised with to begin with ?

so you push if co limped behind the mp open limper (with a poster behind him) you raise pot (~70) from sb and he makes it $300 ?

This is a really, really easy fold against most opponents.

Fold.

Whenever you see someone make this move, (call initial bet, then put in the 3rd bet after a raise), fold unless you have the nuts, in which case push. It indicates a real monster hand.

This is not always the case in limit, sometimes someone is jamming the pot on the flop with a nut draw, but in NL it's always a true monster.

FOLD.
My experience tell me that its easy fold. No scientific arguments really.

Best wishes

Thanks everyone for all the responses. In the actual hand, I did fold while cursing a lot. I just thought any half decent player would smooth call my raise to 70 w/ AA or KK and check-raise push any flop, so I wasn't sure if I had made the right play. Good to know that everyone thought folding is the correct play.
