I figured I could make FoldYourBet your bet lay down a huge range of hands, guarantee myself the healthy side pot, and have a decent chance to win the whole thing. Is it limited gain to risk 10000, or a good solid play?

I think it's usually fine for the reasons you stated. In this instance, I would be a little careful as he cold-called an UTG raise and could have a pretty decent hand. I usually don't bet too big either in case they do have a hand and play back or just call.

So CCPFs get respect? If he wants to play his hand he can either call or raise. He choose the weaker of the two options. There is usually a good reason for that.
