Hope this hasn't been posted before, but if so, it deserves to be again. This solidifies Sufjan's place in the pantheon of musicians.

Saw him live in Ohio. It's amazing to watch him hit all those notes in real life and not just in a studio. You pretty much can't believe he can be as good live as he can be on his records until he finally opens his mouth. Live is also really fun with him because of the Illinoise makers and all the cheers they have. His public humility is noteworthy also, never seems to go to his head. In conclusion, this guy is freakin good.

Edited to add that I am listening to this thing and he sounded much better at the concert I went too, he isn;t too stellar on this show imho.

Yah, just listened to it again. The first half is ok, but the second half they hit their stride with a great combo: John Wayne Gacy, Jr., Chicago stripped down, and A Good Man is Hard to Find.
