. . . or more value in the overcalls?

MP2 is 17/7/2 over 350+. SB is 66/2/<1 after 50 and UTG is an unknown.

Yeah, raise the river. SB and UTG likely have missed overcards like KJ and wont call a single bet. If one of them hit an ace or slowplayed a three, they will call two. MP2 just hit his ace and maybe if youre lucky he'll 3-bet with something like AK.

Raise the river.

Realize that you make at most 3 BB by overcalling, and very often less as the others might not overcall. If you raise, you make at least 2, and maybe more if some overcall the raise. (That only needs to happen a small portion of the time for the raise to be correct). And important thing to realize is that many opponents intending to overcall on the river (particularly at the 2/4 level), will also overcall two a significant portion of the time.

I think raising the river gives you the best chance of extracting more. If you raise, you can be pretty sure that MP2 will call if he has any kind of reasonable hand as the pot is laying him good odds to call.

Let's assume that MP2 will always call a raise. Then, to make more from flat calling you would need both SB and UTG to call. It's too likely that one of them won't call, so flat calling is unlikely to make you any extra money. On the other hand, there's a possibilty that if either of them were willing to call one bet, then they might be willing to call two bets.

In other words, raising will pretty much always guarantee that you pick up at least one bet from MP2 and possibly more from the others; when you flat call you would have to be really lucky to get more than one bet.

Preflop is close, but ok, fine. Flop and turn look perfect, going for the overcalls in this pot is excellent, you have position and can always bet the river yourself if you need to. Give someone a chance to do the check-raising for you... anybody out there with a three?

On the river, I'd raise. The bettor probably pays off, and if you're lucky, he has a 3 and you cap it. Trap somebody else making loose calls or who rivered an ace and can't release.

good luck.
