View Full Version : ($10) Bubble Big Stack Question...

I'm trying to get a handle on the bubble aggression.
Let's say we've just gotten to the bubble, and Hero has played a tight aggressive game to this point. All others haven't been either overly tight, or overly loose, and haven't been caught making any terrible plays.

After posting the blinds,
UTG 1500
BTTN 1250
HERO 4000
BB 1250

Blinds are 50/100

Situation A:
UTG folds, BTTN limps, Hero...

Situation B:
UTG limps, BTTN calls, Hero...

Situation C:
UTG min raises, BTTN folds, Hero...

Situation D:
UTG bets 3xBB, BTTN folds, Hero...

I think I'm pushing any two if it folds to me. But correct me if this is too aggressive.

What are you pushing with in these four scenarios? I think it is with 32off+ in all four spots with the possible exception of D where a Stop-and-Go may be a better play.

Convince me these are no brainers, or that my thinking is off.

gl,
Mike.

Blinds are way too small for you to be monkey-pushing here. You're risking a ton of your stack for almost no return. Play aggressive, for sure, but I hate pushing when the small stack has >10BB

Try when the blinds are 75/150 and even 100/200. 50/100 is too low to even be thinking of getting over-aggressive, assuming you mean with 'any two'. Especially with these stack sizes.

I don't really think you can auto-push in these situations.

The blinds are still relatively low and you don't have all that huge a stack. If the other stacks are good players, they usually wouldn't be getting involved here without premium hands, since they have time to wait.

There's also no shorty about to go out, so villains are much less incented to fold good hands.

Play on Stars instead and just stall when these situations occur. Use all of your time bank so blinds will rise and you can pushbot.

on PP, I'd wait til 100/200 to pushbot around.

Thanks...

My next question was going to be, "What if the blinds were 100/200..."

But limps with those small stacks and bigger blinds just worry me to death. That's why I thought punish the limpers with huge fold equity when the blinds were a little smaller.

So I'm thinking the plays above are pretty good at the 100/200 blinds level with "Any Two"?

You know the answer already, I'm sure, but.. "it depends".
