Just was wondering if it this is possible, perhaps using partitions etc?

I dont think partitions will make a difference. I assume you have tried to simply make two party installations in different locations?

Use VMWare.

VMWare offers a free 30-day (i think it's 30) evaluation copy of their workstation software, as well as a completely free version of a "player". So use the eval copy to create a virtual machine, then "play" it using their Player.. Depending on your RAM/CPU, you could probably run a couple of these at once.

You have to be really fast. Try highlighting the icon with your mouse and hitting enter a bunch of times.

I posted this not long ago, maybe useful here?

I found this guide a little while ago:

Regedit to open multiple party lobbies (http://www.tightpoker.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=news;action=display;num=1121643906)

Personally never tried it, maybe possible to use this for massive data mining or to play >4 tables on the X-Party Skin network, who knows.

If you try it, please post results, I'd be interested to find out what you can do.

Dave.

I nominate you for the poster of the year award. The amount of research and dedication that it took to find this out must have been staggering. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

OMG i thought that was a joke, but it really works!

One problem though -- partymine only recognizes one of the open party poker lobbies, and will not open more than 10 tables.

So although you could go open 10 more manually, this still isn't ideal way to go.

What I want to be able to do is use partymine to datamine 20 tables using 2 different PP accounts on the same computer.

Any other ideas?

Yeah the problem is PartyMine is a piece of [censored].

I told people months ago about this trick but I think everyone thought it was a joke then too. I've known about it since November of last year.

instead of saying PartyMine is [censored]-which it isnt why not ask Jason to put out a patch with say a 100 table limit rather than 10.

There are software developers out there right now that are datamining every single table at every large site 24/7.

Did you try making a separate Party install at a different location, renaming partypoker.exe to empirepoker.exe and then telling PartyMine you have both Party and Empire?

If the developer doesn't do anything, I think I can patch PartyMine to go over the 10 table limit...

[/ QUOTE ]We're not really talking about "going over the limit", we're talking about recognizing a separate window (with the exact same name) and knowing to open some tables on one, and some tables on the other.

Remember that your 2 instances of Party are logged-in with different accounts. You're still restricted to 10 tables per account.

Just click on the PP icon really really fast.

[/ QUOTE ]I wrote an easy AutoHotkey (http://www.autohotkey.com) script to do this, if you don't want to try the "hit enter over and over" method. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

The script is here (http://www.math.gatech.edu/~samiam/Personal/Poker/DoubleParty.ahk), and I made an exe version (http://www.math.gatech.edu/~samiam/Personal/Poker/DoubleParty.exe) in case you don't have AHK installed. You can decompile the executable if you don't trust me.
-Sam

P.S. I had never tried the ahk->exe conversion before. It's slick. I even made an icon, because I'm a dork. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah I ended up opening like 12 windows.

Note to everyone. Just need to hit Enter twice in a short period of time. No need to hit it on rapid mode like you are playing a button pushing game on Mario Party. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now if we could only get partymine to do more than 10 tables /images/graemlins/smile.gif

teddyFBI

Well it's not the 10-table max that's the limiting factor -- it's that currently PM will only recognize one of the open lobbies...it acts as though all the others don't even exist.

What is needed is for PM to be able to say to itself: "OK, i'll mine tables from this lobby until I get an error message telling me I can't open any more...and then I'll just go to the next Party lobby and pick up where I left off".

I sent a PM to Prod about this...cant imagine it would be all that hard.

SackUp

Nice. That would be fantastic to mine all of Party /images/graemlins/smile.gif

[/ QUOTE ]

Just tried it, this doesn't work.

1) Partymine still recognizes the "empirepoker.exe" as partypoker (tested this by changing the limits I want to monitor on party skin)

2) You can't open both at the same time, unless possibly you double clicked on one and quickly double clicked on a different icon, but didn't get this far because #1 didn't work.

I cant get either method to work it opens up the second or third Party.exe but it automatically closes itself 3-5 seconds later...why is this happening?
Are you guys able to keep multiple pary.exe's open simultaneously? Mine all close out-very frustrating..I'm watching the exe's open/close form WindowsTask Manager/Processes tab.

help an old clueless techphob out!

It worked for me, as long as I login from separate accounts for each instantiation of PartPoker.

I was mining 30 tables successfully for a while (no PartyMine, just importing observed hands into PT) and it seemed to be working, adding over 200 hands every 4 minutes.

Then all heck broke loose after about 20-30 minutes of 'inactivity' and my internet connection mysteriously vanished.

When I restored the internet by rebooting my router and cable modem, only 'some' of the Party tables were still importing, and I've not been able to figure out why.

When I am playing 8 tables, PT seems to get all my Hands just fine, but when I am watching 10 tables, PT always seems to drop a few tables after a while. /images/graemlins/confused.gif
