This is Toddys hand but different. I found it interesting since I misread it at first but I found something that may be a leak in my game. Take a look.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx (http://www.zerodivide.cx/converter)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A/images/graemlins/heart.gif, K/images/graemlins/heart.gif. UTG posts a blind of t150.
2 folds, Hero raises to t400, 4 folds, SB calls t350, 1 fold.

Flop: (t1050) A/images/graemlins/club.gif, 7/images/graemlins/club.gif, J/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
SB bets t400, Hero calls t400.

Turn: (t1850) 8/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
SB bets t500, Hero ...

Final Pot: t3850

The thing that I was "worried" about in Toddys thread was that I like to flatcall this flop thinking I can get cheap away from the hand if another club comes on the turn but how are you guys thinking about cold calling or raising it here?

I would play it with a cold call and then push/raise any non club turn.

i think that's an okay way to play it. my standard would be to jam the flop, but i can't think of any good reason why your line is worse.

First of all, you really love the word flop don't you /images/graemlins/grin.gif. I never realized 4th street was called a flop aswell /images/graemlins/tongue.gif. But hey I just like nitpicking.

Back to the hand: I would wonder what hands Villain would bet on this flop. To get Hero to define his hand better I would've bet more towards 1/2 or 3/4 of the pot. That bet would represent a bigger hand. Betting less than half the pot seems to me most of the time like a cheap way to try to steal the pot. Villain isn't defining his hand either with this bet, the flop is way too coordinated for that so I would raise him another 400 to make him define his hand. If he was stealing he folds, if he was on a big flushdraw he probably pushes and you are getting way too good odds on your money to fold.

Interesting thought on the hand, but wouldn't a push here be the best choice of a push and a raise since a push here may scare away him if he only got one club and a raise will prolly be called down because of the pot odds. I think I like the push here most since I would call the push from him and a push from me have the potential to scare away one club. Thoughts?

Ya now looking at it and with all the good advice I had to definetly push after the turn! It would have been a shame if he had A2 (with the 2 being a club) and losing because I didn't push.
