Canola Oil – 154 Tbsp. 18,432 <--

isn't a lot of this going to get burned out?

pretty cheap trick for padding 2/3rds of the calories.

Agreed.... at most, he probably pulled in a few thousand extra calories from the deep frying, and that's pushing it...

I don't think you should be able to call something a sandwich unless you can actually pick it up and eat it like a sandwich.

No way is that 30,000 calories. More like 10,000 give or take.

Now I see the list of ingredients:

Canola Oil – 154 Tbsp. 18,432

That's almost 10 cups of oil. There is no way there is 10 cups of oil in there. Most of the oil and butter used in frying the ingredients was surely discarded.

The challenge has to be to consume that thing in an hour or less. I was in Amarillo and went to the original Big Texan place with the 72oz. steak challenge. $50.00 but finish in an hour and it's free. Here's a picture:
http://img118.imageshack.us/img118/345/72ozsm5vm.jpg

They actually keep the stats and list the challenge rules at... BigTexan (http://www.bigtexan.com/72oz.html)

weak

you can't count the entire amount of canola oil you used to make the onion rings in the total amount

18,000 calories in canola oil is utterly impossible for a sandwich that size
