Hi,
I made a deposit on Stars awhile back for their 25%/$150 max reload bonus. This is the first I've played on Stars. Well, I'm attempting to finish clearing the bonus now, and it's taking forever. Basically, I'm just looking for some advice on what is the most efficient way to clear bonuses on Stars, as I can't seem to get these FPP points racked up at a reasonable rate. I'm comfortable playing limit/NL/PL hold'em, NL tourneys, or possibly 7 stud.

BTW, I prefer to play very low limits when clearing bonuses, and I wouldn't really want to go above 25c/50c NL or $1/2 limit.

At those limits it's going to take you forever regardless. Why not just play your regular games and when the bonus comes, it comes?

You may want to try SnG's. You get 6 FPPs for every dollar paid in fees, works out to better than 100% rakeback.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for. (I wasn't sure how quickly sng's racked up the fpp's relative to these horrendously slow cash games)

Even at $1/$2 Limit you're in for a long haul clearing a bonus at Stars. To acheive any kind of decent clearance rate you need to move up to at least $2/$4.

You'll get 3 FPP for each $5.50 SnG which would mean you would need to play 200 of them for the 600 FPP you need to clear.

I just cleared that bonus and played mostly SNG's and 1 or 2 tables of 1/2 limit on the side. Only if the pot reaches $15+ do you get a FPP for the hand at 1/2, so play the loose tables. On SNG's every one you play nets you points.

Hope that helps you out.

You actually get 5 FPPs for every dollar, which is exactly 100% rakeback. However, for fees that are fractions of a dollar, Stars rounds up. For example you get 3 FPPs ($.60) for a $5.50 tourney.

At what point do you get FPP at .5/1?? $10 pot?

Seems like the $150 bonus took me a long time, but I was just starting and still playing .25/.50 and .50/1. The most recent one just took a few hours at 1/2 and 11s and 22s, just a normal day of playing and then they gave me the money.

Still, he's probably only playing the 10+1 tournies and gotta play 150 of those to get the bonus.

The stars bonus I find one of the easiest to clear by playing 2/4 limit.
