ive recently started playing 55 sngs 4months ago....since then my first 1000 went great with a roi of 19%...but recently the last 400 or so ive been at -10%....was i running that good for 1000sngs at the 55s....and is it because of my bad play that im loosing money righ now....or is it that im juss running horribly righ now......i feel like im just getting sucked out on a lot....2-1s, 3-1, and 4-1 hands are juss not holding up....at all........has anyone ran this bad or am i just not a good player....the only program i use is sng tracker.....i just want to know what i can do to get a better edge for my opponents....icm, sngpt.....anything.....

Just posting that you have X Roi over 400 games isnt enough info for people to tell you if your a winning player or not. Id say your better than -10% cause you ran at 19% for 1K but you know what happens when you assume.

well is a negative 10 roi for 400 sngs something that happens to winning sngers

take your downswing like a man. review hands, post hands, have someone look at hhs. quit crying. i can guarantee that i am running worse than you are right now, yet you don't see me making posts like this.

have a nice day

Yes, it is possible for a wnning player to have a 40-buy in downswing, but it definitely isn't normal variance.

All poker results in any short term discussion have a lot to do with luck, and it is possible you're playing well and just getting extremely unlucky. But it's a lot more likely that you play worse now than you did when you were winning. Take time between sets and review your HHs with SnGPT, and post troublesome hands here. Take breaks when you feel yourself starting to get upset. If you keep losing, move down.

Doesn't make you "not good", just goes to show what a bad sample 400 or even 1000 sngs is.

i'm at 60% ROI over my last 100 55's...quite frankly, i couldn't imagine -10% over 100, let alone 400...

Well said.

You must have done a bunch of sucking out yourself to get 19% at $55 so take yours.

Well try to recognize that fact that it's easier to go -10% ROI over 100 than +60%.

As others have said, it's possible to have this kind of downswing but it's not normal. Look at your play, post hands, try and figure out what's going on. It's possible it's just variance, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't something else going on. Make notes as you play about hands you aren't sure about, then look over them and post them if you still aren't sure. It's probably the best way to go.

And to unbreakable, I was better than that over my first 100 SNGs, and if you play long enough you'll be back to normal range. People run hot and people run cold. If you haven't had a negative ROI over 100 SNGs, just wait. I'll bet that it'll happen.

55 x .19 = 10.45
10.45 x 1000 = 10450
55 x -.1 = -5.5
-5.5 x 400 = 2200
10450 - 2200 = 8250
55 x 1400 = 77000
8250 / 77000 = .107

so yes, you stink to the tune of an 11% roi.

it's very possible you stink worse, or are better.

i'm locking this thread for its abject stupidity and lack of understanding of sample sizes, and on top of that, being a bad beat post.

you have 0 of 1 of each of those types of posts remaining.
