-My turn to act...

Any thoughts on what to do here? Should I be happy getting my chips in here even if it is a coinflip? I was 50/50 here on calling or folding....

I'd call that.

A bigger pocket pair doesn't want you to fold, so probably wouldn't push here.

You're likely against a smaller pair, maybe a big Ace.

I think you might be overestimating the play at the 11's. Personally I don't ever raise with JJ's unless I'm in late position and it's folded to me (which almost never happens). I would fold this hand because I've been running into alot of higher pocket pairs. With the raise the thinking is that hero can't fold after that raise and has to call my KK's AA's. The only problem I have with this hand is that I limp and then call a raise of about 4x-5x bb which is the worst thing to do.

Why would u be contemplating folding to a shortstack who hasnt shown too much strength? I would go with a call or reraise for sure, in this situation i'd proly just raise him up.

I've laid down JJ before when i feel im beat, but in this situation i would feel pretty comfortable getting my money in. The blinds are still small and he is a short stack raiser so he can't do too much damage if u lose the race. I just dont think there's adequate information to assume he has high pockets. everytime i've folded High pockets pf so far i've been right /images/graemlins/cool.gif

short stack alright...considering he had me covered???? 1020 with the blinds at this level is not a short stack. if i call and lose im out...

I guess I am the only one who says fold. However, I definately would have limped in. Short stack? what short stack?

oops ur rite i read ur post wrong. sorry bout that. It looks to me like he has low - med pockets. Not likely he will shove all in with QQ-AA but i have seen it. i put him on AK if he doesnt have pockets. I would usually call in this spot and be ahead 80% of the time
