Hero is experiencing self doubt due to a massive downswing. Sorry if these hands are trite. Often I find when stuff goes wrong, it's the basics I need to check up on.

Even 7 handed I fold that hand preflop without hesitation. On the flop its largerly player dependant. I like to 3 bet in that spot, if I'm sure he'll check the turn, and try to hit for cheap. If he'll donk the turn just call and hope for the best. I don' see KJ high having showdown potential unless the villian is a complete doofus.
