My [22yo Male] friend [from Paris] is in town until next Friday. He's used to hanging out with magic/poker players that don't leave the appartment / cardroom much. I'm trying to be the exception and want to show him some cool stuff in LA.

Anyone have any suggestions? It's been a decade since I've done any of the touristy LA stuff, so I really don't know if any of that stuff is good.

-thanks in advance

He's 22 years old and plays magic? He's hopeless. Don't even try to help.

Take him to a Laker game. This is usually pretty memorable for tourist types, getting to see celebs etc.

Front row at a lakers game would be cool.

Umm, hot chicks? I think just exposing him to some sun, an outside lunch, and a nice view would do the trick.

I did this the other day for free and it is a lot of fun. Hot women, Laker girls, celebrities, and an up close view of Kobe playing. The only problem is the Lakers suck now, but this would be good for someone visiting LA.

The guys behind me had bought their tickets outside for a good price because they found some business guy who had 4 tickets he didn't want that his company had fronted him. You could try and find someone like that outside.

I still think seeing Kobe play live would outweigh the fact that the lakers suck. Too bad Shaq had to leave. Plus the lakers girls are really hot, good point.

They're not. I had floor seats and there were some very pretty girls. Obviously not all were smokin', but not butterfaces.

Six Flags is fantastic and there isn't really anything similar in France. Besides that, Broken Social Scene is playing Monday and Tuesday at the Henry Ford Theater (I mostly like LA for the concerts).

Go see a movie at the ArcLight, preferably in the Cinerama dome. Eat breakfast at Urth Caffé.

you actually could also just spend your day hanging outside in the garden of the getty which IMO is almost as cool as the inside of the museum.

I'm actually paying like a loser to see them tonight. Of course it's a longer performance than 5 minutes.

Clubbin on Sunset is always fun, but traffic is hell.

Go to the Bridge and see a movie, my brother can get you in free, lol.

Venice Beach, Hermosa Beach, both good places.

Magic Mountain is always good, but really long lines. They don't get shorter until later in the night.

Check out Citywalk. There's a few clubs, a theater, some restaurants, a theater, etc.

Of course, there's always Fritz's.

I don't think is something you can do spur of the moment.

From what I hear, you have to reserve tickets months in advance, and it's a big hassle. this would be cool to do, though.

In France they have Tits in yogurt commercials. I'm not sure this as much of a sell as you think it is.
