Playing at the Lodge Casino, bad beat jackpot on the $2-$5 spread limit game is at $29K.
Dealer proceeds to deal the cards and accidentally throws one card into CO's hand, card hits hand and is exposed part way, dealer flips card over, it's K /images/graemlins/club.gif.
Flop: A /images/graemlins/club.gifK /images/graemlins/heart.gifK /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
Crazy betting action between CO and guy in middle position.
Turn: J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
River: 8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
CO flips over K /images/graemlins/spade.gifQ /images/graemlins/spade.gif
MP flips over A /images/graemlins/diamond.gif A /images/graemlins/heart.gif
IF DEALER HADN'T F*CKED UP, CO has Quad Kings and MP has Aces full of Kings. Bad beat should have freakin' hit...cost me a pretty penny there....
needless to say the dealer proceeded to get shafted on the tips after that hand...

Ummmm, actually that K would have been the first burn card, your flop would have been: Whatever the burn card is, than AK, the third K would have been the 2nd burn card.

If the dealer had thrown that card at you and a little higher and faster she could've severed your neck veins and killed you and I would've never had to read this post.

the K would have been a hole card. the A would have been a burn card right? the exposed card was the burn card after it was exposed, but the A would have been had the exposure not occurred. and i echo that shant fellow's sentiments.
edited: actually it would have been one of the 3 board cards as they would have been dealt down and then flipped/slid over in a possibly random fashion.

Edited because I'm dumb.
So yeah, AAAKK vs. KKKKA would count. I stand by my first statement.
No one cares.

I said that at Motor city, both hole cards have to play to win the BBJ.
one guy has KQ on a AKK board
The Q wouldn't play, but I'm retarded because the guy would have KK, not KQ, so it's Aces full vs. quad K

also CO wouldn't use both cards from his hand, which at most casinos wouldn't qualify for the bad beat jackpot.

Indeed. Hint: the burn card is the replacement card exactly so the board remains unchanged from what was intended after the shuffle/cut...

Not to beat a dead horse or anything, but how do you know that CO wasn't deal the Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif first?

The guy with KQ would have a dead Q and therefore it would not be a bad beat hand since you have to use both cards in the deck. Next time put (NC) in the post for no content
