I need helping figuring out how to make odds into percentages and vice versa. For example. What would 1.22 to 1 be in percentages. x% vs y% Or when they say 65 to 45 percent favorite what odds do they mean (i.e) x to y?

thanks sorry for my ignorance.

Me thinks...To convert odds to percentage:

1/( <font color="red"> 1.22 </font> +1)= <font color="green"> 45.05% </font>

Just change the number in red each time to fnd the number in green. Pretty easy to do in MS Excel.

Another example, the percentage that a flush will come by the river if you have a flush draw:

1/( <font color="red"> 1.86 </font> +1)= <font color="green"> 34.97% </font>

I am definitely not a strong math person, so I had to noodle this out once...I think it holds up.

To got he other way and get the odds - just reduce the numbers like in reducing fractions.

If you are a 40% chance to win, that is 60% against and 40% for you. So thats 60-40 = 6-4 = 3-2. So being a 40% favorite means the odds are 3-2 against you.
