Since when is it OK to talk on your cell phone in the library?

Ive been here for about an hour and heard no less than 10 people on their cell phones. Its annoying the crap outta me.

When our cat yowls in the middle of the night, we shoot it with a squirt gun. Start bringing a squirt gun to the library.

At the undergrad library at Johns Hopkins, cell phones are allowed on the top two levels. Quiet study is on the bottom 3 levels.

Public Library or School?

The undergrand library at the UW is a damn social center. People always on cellphones and talking, meeting, etc. I'd assumed it was the same for other schools.

In my school library, they are not allowed except in the payphone rooms and front lobby.

People do it anyway. Security patrols seem more concerned with throwing people out for having food/drink than cell phone use.

It's [censored] annoying

Unacceptable. You, my friend, need to make yourself one of these (http://gbppr.dyndns.org/PROJ/mil/celljam/). Or perhaps if you were feeling a bit more adventurous, one of these (http://www.sigarms.com/).
