Tournament play---what do you think?

Recently I've become infatuated with playing limit tourneys. However, I've heard that this is a good way to go broke.

My plan was to still be primarily a ring player, but also play 2-3 tourneys a week on PokerStars. Is this a bad idea? I was thinking about the $50 tourneys, as well as the $30 and $20.

Do tourney players really go broke like some people say?

Tyler I believe that those people are referring to B$M tourney players. The reason being the extra expenses involved in traveling and tipping. I read once where Phil Helmuth said he needed a $50,000 bankroll to attend a tourney for one month. This is a pretty big nut to overcome if you don't cash for a few months in a row.
