In a recent post AcidReign said he changed the level he played at depending on numbers of players online (PP):

<35000 players online_________10s
35000-65000 players online____20s
>65000 players online_________30s

Which sounds like a good idea.

I'm in the UK and so often play the $33's in the morning here, which is really early eastern time.
At the moment there are only 13k players online.
Who are they? Following AcidReigns approach i should be playing the $11's.

Any 2+2ers playing at these times?

I live in Denmark and play between 4am and 7am eastern. My standard game is the 33s, but if they are very slow filling up I'll take 3 33s and 1 55s (4-tabling obviously). If you can beat the game during peak hours I see no reason you shouldn't be able to beat it between 4am and 7am. They are a little tighter, so if you can adjust and push a bit more you're fine. The players still make enough horrible plays to make it profitable.

i'm on the west coast and stay up late playing. i too, often wonder who i'm playing at these hours. my best guess it's that it's just random people playing at random times in different parts of the world. the level of play isn't much different than say the late evening PST, in fact sometimes the play is worse.

Ive got a friend who recently quit his job for poker. He's an insomniac and plays at all kinds of weird hours. He claims that these graveyard hours are the best time to play. I myself have stayed up late 2 or 3 times to play poker.

I play till like 5am sometimes eastern. Depends really. I like to stop by 3amish though. So I can wake up at a reasonable hour and do something with the daylight.
