The problem with tournments is there is a lot to consider. Imagine a pot has been made large before the flop and the flop comes with a flush draw, now this is no limit and you can bet the pot to not give them the odds to call, but the problem is even if you have the best hand it might not be all that great to a hand you know is made and has chance to improve, plus the fact you don't know for sure you have the best hand.

How do you allow for this? You make the odds not correct and risk a large amount of your chips?

I end up against average players who don't realise the odds, which means 1 in 3 tournments, i'm out.

Then there is the problem of having a marginal hand which _may_ be the best hand, this point i don't have a good enough hand to prevent the odds. So i can only hope and bet small?

Example, first hand T1000 everyone, 300 pot at the flush, that's pretty costly to my chips.

Summary:

Any chances you make against the flush draw when average stacked?

What do you do against the flush draw with a marginal chance of being the best hand?
