So long as you have established good credit line it should be fine.

By the way I had a 720+ credit score at the time and the bank never did ask for them.

you just have to falsify your W2, which is easy as [censored].

I will be in the near future, but I have talked to some mortgage people. Alot will say that you need 2 years of tax returns to show from your "self - employment", but some will allow it w/o, and you can do a "no doc" loan (I believe is the name), and they look at your credit score and such. Some will increase the rate for no doc loans, but I talked to one guy who said that as long as my credit turned up fine, it wouldn't go up.

Don't know how things work in the US, but over here you should be fine if you put down a nice big deposit and self-certify your earnings. Bank has very little to lose in that case.

The better your credit, the less documentation you'll have to produce. If your credit is good enough, you will not need to show any proof.

I am a third generation real estate professional so I have just two words of advice:

1. DO NOT LIE. You would be amazed at the number of people who try and fudge their information. Do not do this. If you don't have the financial documents to backup your application then go the no doc route (assuming you have a large enough down payment).

2. Dan Harrington owns Anchor Mortgage or Loans. I have no idea where they are located (see google) but give them a try.
