I_STRONG............?

Early on in $20 SNG so no reads... I called thinking that villain could not have possibily limped AA or KK after another limper... Good or Fishy?

At a $22 I call this pretty quickly. I mean, seriously, he's limped from MP with this hand and now likes it so much he's decided to push with it, despite the early position limper? This is almost never AA/KK and very rarely is it AK either. You're more likely to see some crap pair like 77/88 (they love these) or AJ, sooted or not.

because he limped in mp with AA after an early limper. would YOU do that?

Yes, depending on the table.

Double hand low (I think it's called that?) is something that generally only works if you're directly to act, or maybe a seat away from the original limper. It's pretty donkish in mid position if you ask me. Also you will very, very rarely see it happen, so don't feel bad. Next time flop a Q /images/graemlins/grin.gif

level 1 of a 22 there is no reason to do this in mp after a limper, and yes this is an instant call

I've seen 66 and JTs and A5o enough times to make this an easy decision.

Agreed. If I felt reasonably confident somebody was going to PVS, a limp is an excellent play. See... oh, just as an example... this thread.

There was a pre-flop raise to 7xBB. Let's not quibble over whether it's a PVS or not.

Good players occasionally change up their game. If you disagree, there's nothing more to be said.

Didn't anyone ever play limit poker? I don't particularly like playing Aces against five or six opponents, but I know how to do it.

I'm not folding QQ preflop HU in a $22. But, this is probably the time when folding QQ HU in a $22 is least incorrect.

People seem to disagree with me and I thought about it some more. JTs and 55 are just as likely if not more likely than AA and KK.

1. Tigerite's reasoning was dead on.

2. Whether this is a "PVS" or not is moot

3. Whether this is a good play by villain depends

4. Calling is a good because this play by villain will be an extreme exception, not the norm.
