Quick question, make fun of me as much as you want.

I have had a bank account in my hometown for about 2 years with no problems, its a simple student checking account. Now that I'm in college (out of state) I ran the balance down to about 2 dollars. It sat at 2 for a while.

About a week ago in a drunken stupor I signed up for a few online services (was just a service to make international telephone calls so I could call a friend), and they said that it was a free trial that lasted for one month. Anyway, I cancelled it the next morning, and they still charged me.

This of course pushed my bank account balance to about -$45 US. I have never had a negative balance.

Is this going to be a problem assuming it only lasts for like a day or two until I get some funds sent into it?

Will this hurt my credit?

Thanks..

Just call the bank and explain the situation. Have your parents deposit some cash into the account asap, and there won't be any negative effects (other than a possible overdraft fee from the bank).

No, the worst part will be if your bank charges you for an overdraft - maybe like $30.

You know, nobody here would make fun of you if you just admitted to signing up on a porn site.
