What is the best anti-virus/spyware software? I'm assuming that I'll have to buy something if I want to really protect my computer so I'm looking for what people think is the best compared to the cost. Thanks for the help.

I purchased Kaspersky and I love it. Updated very often, and consumes much less resources than Mcafee or Norton. Has some of the highest detection ratings too.

Thanks for the response. Is that both spyware and anti-virus or just one of the two?

I only use their AV software but I think they offer both. Not sure about how good it is. I normally just you Spybot S&D for spyware.

You dont have to pay. Just download Clamwin for an antivirus, and get the Microsoft Ant Spyware beta. You will be fine.
