View Full Version : Why am I stupid?

So, my last $11 STT I played tonight, I asked the guy (heads up) if he wanted to chop. And go $40/$40 on it.
He said, sure. I said, let me take care of it. I'll send you the $10 right now, and let me win.

He asked to take care of it, and to let him win. I fold the blinds until I lose, he signs off. I'm out $20, but was ahead in chips ~$4100 to 3900, and could've just as easily won, but didn't feel like it.

Either way, I'm out the $10 I would've received had he paid me, and out $20 if I wasn't an idiot and decided to go for the win.

His user ID is river132425 just in case any of you see him again. (He'll probably change his user ID right now).

Well, I've had a horrible day and won't transfer it.... Never do this again (for obvious reasons)

As far as I know, party is the only 8k chip game, so I'll assume it was there.

You know the minimum transfer is $50?

I'm a lot more interested in your ID than I am his.

It's the same as my SN. I won't hide it.

I play the $11s, 55s and sometimes 109s on Party and the 16s and 60s on Stars. Typically on from 8 pm to 2 am PST most weeknights.

What a weird game selection. Why the gaps?

Who the hell chops for $10? Especially when you play 109s. That kind of money should mean very little to you. And if you don't care enough to win, just go all in every hand. Game over in like 20 seconds.

That's the thing. The money means VERY little to me. That's why I didn't care. You're right. All in, every hand next time. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

You know, I really can't explain it. I started on the $11s 3 years ago, and quickly moved up to the $55s. On the way up (back then it was $11, $33 and $55) I did really well at the $11s and $55s, but a little bit better than break even on the 33s.

On stars I've just been bonus whoring as of lately, and I like to play my bonuses by playing the $60 turbos and occasional $114, but like to try different things at the $16s (while not playing the bonus).

Some nights I feel very focused and willing to play, other nights I want to "gamble", some nights I just want to watch the cards go by and see how far I can make it folding everything. By the end of this night, I just wanted any money I won to be spread evenly. I suppose it's just interesting to me to see how each STT turns out with different strategies applied. I used to just have one "basic" strategy, but got bored with it.

I'm no professional at all, but try to make $500/month playing just for a little extra cash. When the bills are high, I'll be on the lower buy in tables (currently purchasing a house).

Once I get this house purchased (been saving up since last April, and it will be done before the new year) I'll be back at the 55s, 60s, 109s and 114s once I don't rely on that money.
