It seems one of these always gets started, so I might as well do it.

1. Play 250 $20+2 STT
2. Read High/Low Split For Advanced Players and reread HEPFAP.
3. Study 1 hour on every weekday, and 2 hours on Sunday.
4. Run at least 50 miles each week.

3000 sngs or 20k.

Move to the 109s.

Play an absolute shitload of 30s and maybe go back to the 50s. I want to shoot for top 10 leaderboard with unrealistic goal of winning it. I plan to be down to 5 credits this semseter by friday because I'm switching majors so I should have the time to just play and then play some more. I've already played 31 30s this month /images/graemlins/wink.gif.

"Play an absolute shitload of 30s and maybe go back to the 50s. I want to shoot for top 10 leaderboard with unrealistic goal of winning it."

I guess this means 3k $55s in a month would put me at #1.

i see you as my competetion as well as johnny beef and the other psychos here but of course in a friendly way.

"i see you as my competetion"

As long as you're playing 33s it's no competition at all, that $1.5k is mine /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I can't have done it right though, I can't see how an sng is worth so many points?? I'd get ~90k points for 3k $55s if I hit 10% ROI. Last months leader only hit 40k points, which means I should be able to play 1.5k sngs and win it?? Doesn't sound right.

Poker:
1. Permenently move to $215 tournaments and maintain an ROI of 6 % playing 8 tables.
2. Re-read Harrington on HoldEm Vol II.
3. Being happy with my own play in a $1500 live tournament i play on November 17-19.

Nonpoker:
1. Work at leat 20 h on a project im working on with a friend
2. Remember to appreciate my girlfriend and make her happy

If i put it at 13/13 for 1st and 2nd percent i get it at 53k points for 3000 games if I did it right which is still obviously enough to win the leaderboard. But the same for the 30s is still 47k so watch out /images/graemlins/wink.gif.

Isn't that 100 tourneys a day...every day...for a month?

Is this possible without killing yourself? Either dying from sheer exhaustion or simply going crazy to the point you actually kill yourself.

"Is this possible without killing yourself? Either dying from sheer exhaustion or simply going crazy to the point you actually kill yourself."

Just over 6hrs a day 12tabling. I'm more interested in making the 20k, I'm just giving myself 3k sngs to do it. I'll change that to 18.5k since I'd probally top the leaderboard for the 1.5k prize.

Also, that's 3000 sngs based on a 10% ROI. I'd like to do better than this, and might have moved to the 109s anyway, meaning it could take significantly less than 3000 sngs (could be done in 2000).

kitaristi0

1. 200 SNGs
2. Move up to the 22s
3. Read HOH 2

Not sure about the 3k figure, but this is basically my goal, having reached my October one of making it back to the $55s.

Mr_J

Yeh I just realized my calcs were wrong (I didn't realize they used "base points" and just copied their formula).

Something I missed, I'll only be playing 10 of my 12 tables at party, so I won't actually play 3000 there, but 2500. So the $55s with a 10% ROI only just beats last months winner. This month/next month will probally be even higher, so this will be tougher than I thought.

Ok, screw 20k and 3000 sngs, my goal is just to top the leaderboard. If I do that, I'll either hit 20k, do 3k sngs or maybe even both.

if you 12 table for 6 hours a day thats like 70 tourneys a day. Wouldnt that not come out to 3K sngs? Also how many days a week are you going to play?

tigerite
11-01-2005, 08:22 AM
Tournies on Party generally take ~50 minutes. And that's the ones you win! I suspect his average time is closer to 40 minutes.

Hendricks433

my bad I just did per hour. So how many do you think you get in on an average hour? 15-16ish?

FWIW, last month's winner played 22s, granted he played a ton of them. if you put in 3k 55s, you'll be damn near the top if not running away with it.

Try some 33s.
Smoke less than 20 marlboro reds a day.
Eat more. I'm gonna use poker money to make sure it's the expensive healthy stuff as well.
Get back into the routine of reading a book a week.

i want to be up to the 33's by thanksgiving. Working my way up from a $300 roll starting at 11's.

Playing SnG's just part time (w/ MTT's being full time) it should be a dececnt accomplishment if i can get it done.

Well I'm starting a bit late, 7th-10th which will give me a bit of a handicap. If I don't top it this month (those 300 sngs were for 30 days, not november) then I'll go for it next month (where I WILL get it).

Just had a discussion with myself, and it's time for a new plan of action:

November and Onward

School is not happening for me. Therefor, it's time to rape the pokerworld of as much money as i can, and try and secure some money for the future. Therefor i must take this [censored] serious, not play over my head, and focus on games when i play them. Not to say i can't enjoy it, but i have to take playing poker seriously.

So, my goals for November are still basically the same, but with more emphasis and heart.

** Work my way up to the 33's. At the 11's currently.
** Well, that's the only STT goal.

LETS GO.

My October goal of getting decent at 4-tabling went so well... I'm making it my November goal too!

11-02-2005, 09:27 PM
1) establish my second major(at CMU)

2) reread, and take notes on TOP, and HOH I & II(never actually finished HOH II, loaned to a friend who concentrated more on SNGs than me)

3) find some live games I feel comfortable at. (Last one that wasn't a dorm .25 .50 NL game, was a 1 2 NL game at somebodys house who took a rake, and acted completely unprofessional for such, to the point I am convince she cheated. But I have found some other possible games /images/graemlins/smile.gif )

4) play enough stars nickel NL to get the kinks and enormous dents out of my game, for when I re-bankroll myself to $400 and get serious for the .10 .25

5) get a lot better at MTT's

6) excercise

inyaface
11-02-2005, 11:12 PM
Start 8-tabling and play 400 sngs at 10% ROI

11-02-2005, 11:29 PM

Be more aggressive in MTT's

FT a MTT

Play 500 STTs of the $11 kind w/ 25%ROI.
Reread and Take Notes! on HOH(both) and TOP.

Bench 200.

Since I made my goals for September and October; win back the $12 I lost in August and get back to dead even respectively, I'll go out on a limb and set a goal of plus $100 for the month playing 20-30 SNGs and 6-10 hours of low buyin no-limit ring games.
