(1) Sadaam is alive and directing attacks on the US troops in Iraq. Furthermore since Sadaam is alive he is threat to regain power at some point. Therefore the Iraqi scientist and Baath party loyalists who would know about the location of WMD’s in Iraq are mum due to the continued Sadaam threat. To me this is a viable possibility.
(2) Greenspan’s warnings about natural gas this week is part of a government conspiracy to fight environmentalists objections to exploration and drilling in previously inaccessible areas for exploration and drilling. Although it appears that the crisis may not be that acute I doubt the validity of this one.
