Line when a single overcard flops

Hello. I usually play small stakes, but I'm sort of stabbing at mid-limit games from time to time these days. Of course I mostly like to play them when they're playing like small-stakes games /images/graemlins/smile.gif but usually even the softer games are more aggressive.

So I'm wondering, what's a good line on a hand like this?

I have TT in the CO. Slightly loose slightly overaggressive MP player limps from MP, I raise, folded back to MP who calls.

Flop Q64. He checks, I bet, he checkraises me.

So now there are 8.5SB in the pot. I hate this, because his most likely hand is a Q, but I'm ahead often enough that I want to call. Also, I don't want people to move me off a pot this big with a single flop raise. But what if he leads the turn? Do I just keep calling? Should I 3-bet the flop sometimes to prevent people from taking shots at me with stuff like 55 or KJ?

Or what if he raised and I 3-bet preflop, and now he still checkraises me on a K-high flop? Now the pot is bigger, but the K hits a LOT of openraising hands.

Anyway, I'm just wondering if it's all playa-dependent how to handle flop aggression like this. Because it feels weak to fold, and it feels like spewing to raise, but my current strategy seems to end up being "just call a whole lot of bets," which seems like it can't be right either.

Calling down is the standard. Btw you didn't specify if the flop was rainbow or twotone. This is critical.

Also, just watch for the super passive players. Some won't every raise without TPGK or better. Multiway on a drawless flop and someone c/r's the field I fold a lot.

Raising>folding>calling.

IMO.

Player dependent here? Most spots like this are, IMO. But I try to play by feel...something I am working on here at 2+2 incorporated....

I say 3bet the flop and re-evaluate on the turn.

I usually just call the flop and either call down or raise the turn and check behind or bet the river. I dont think I would ever fold the flop or 3-bet the flop.

So we think 3-betting the flop is the way to go. I suppose this is a bit more true if he could be checkraising a draw. If he caps I assume we fold the turn unimproved.

Assuming he calls our 3-bet and a blank comes on the turn, do we now fold to essentially any turn aggression by the opponent? Like if he leads into us or checkraises?

I've been thinking about the flop 3-bet and I'm thinking more and more it will end up resulting in a free showdown if we want it when the big streets go check-bet-call, check-(our action). I figure it also helps us eliminate some 6-out hands on the turn.
