Overbets often mean big draws, and the villain could have a hand like QK or Ahxh. That's wishful thinking though; if this is me I fold and do so quickly.

Yeah I don't think it matters what it means as your hand is a bit rubbish.

I agree. I don't know what it means, but I think the range of hands that does this has your AK beat.

LOL, so true. You're behind whatever happens here, even if it's just a draw.. fold, quickly.

It means you fold quickly, as others have said. Also, keep an eye on this player. A small bet by him later on can possibly be grounds for a RR/steal w/ any two.

I think it means, "I have a made hand but not a monster and I'm really really scared of all the draws that come with two suited broadway cards. Why don't you just fold here and neither of us will go broke this hand, OK?"

Then, you say, "OK."

There's been some good responses already.

My first response was: It means "fold" ... but

It could also mean, "I think you missed the flop on a steal and I called expecting you to miss the flop and now I'm going to resteal."

Or, "I caught a small piece of the flop and I think you missed the flop and I'm too chicken to let you see any more cards."

or, "I got trips and I think you're stupid enough to call."

To me, it's an easy fold no matter what spin you put on it.
