View Full Version : Beating online Bacarrat?

Given a finite set of cards and a limited set of rules, it seems like online bacarrat should be beatable through card tracking. I'm not talking about a point system like blackjack counting, what I am thinking about is tracking every single card dealt and then calculating the odds of the remaining cards coming out in either a banker win, player win, or tie.

This seems possible, right?

First you calculate all of the possible premutations that a deck could end up as (8 * 52) ^ 2. Once you have all of the possibilites indexed, you would then be able to start narrowing the remaining cards down as each one was dealt. It seems like after N number of decks, the likelyhood of one of the three possibilities ought to increase because of the static nature of the game.

Has any already tried doing something like this? I was trying to figure out if you could pattern match an 8 deck game with fixed rules and this came to mind as an easier variation. Online would be MUCH easier than live because you can use the computer to track all of the cards and have precomputed all of the possibilities.

There is mention of this on wizardofodds. You can infact gain an edge but its so tiny its not worth the effort.

I've read about that before, but the systems they are using are meant for LIVE play. My post was targeting the online environment where a computer could be used to count all cards with an exact approximation of the next hand's likely result.

Even with computer perfect play, bac would only be beatable if cards were dealt down almost to the very end of the shoe. Even then, you'd have to sit out for most of the beginning of the shoe, otherwise your edge would be eaten up by the earlier bets, especially using the customary 8 decks. This fact was suggested years ago via simulation, by Abdul. In modern times it can be verified by exact computation, which I can verify has been done by at least one person.

If you were to come up with a system to beat a game in an online casino, they would assuredly have you banned before you put it to good use.

I was under the impression that online casino card games the deck is shuffled between every hand.
