It did for about 2 seconds, then I deleted all 900 of my PMs and *poof* no problem. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

If you have a lot of PMs do they all show at once, or do you see something like 1-25 of 987?

If they only show the most recent ones, there should be no problem right?

No. It shows them all. Why would this change the problem?

I would think they would not need a limit due to resource consumption if only recent PMs were shown. People rarely access their old PMs I would think.

I can't imagine that it would take a bunch of resources to show PMs on a list. I'd guess it's more of a storage issue.

Given the search restrictions, I think it is not a storage issue but rather everytime you access your PMs it has to search for them somehow.

In the future, save your old PMs on your PC and delete them on 2+2. The search function is the worst part of this upgrade.

The search restrictions aren't something set up by 2+2 to deal with a specific issue. Rather they're the default setting for this version of UBB.Threads, and for some reason they haven't changed the setting. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Searching is not a big deal in any decent database, if properly indexed. I think it's storage, personally.
