After I do a username search and click on a previous post and then hit the back button I get a message that says I can't search anymore.

Yes this is annoying. I often do this for my handle (show all users posts) and get the same thing. It's irritating b/c I want to make sure I get back on all my posts.

Don't left click on the link. Instead right click on the link and select "Open in New Window."

Wow. Except for you, Canadians I've encountered have always been cheeful and friendly...

All I'm saying is the way I've searched previous posts for the past year all of a sudden doesn't work. And the guys before you gave answers, so your question about why you do stuff is valid. Don't. Just go get shjt-faced on beer and backbacon.

This is actually what I think might be a flaw in the programming for the UBB forum software. They use HTTP POST as opposed to HTTP GET. Of course, in Internet Explorer, when you hit the back button, it doesn't resubmit the HTTP POST. When you use Firefox, it will give you the option of resubmitting the POST. It would be a better idea to use a HTTP GET, which resubmits the information in the following manner.

You can also look up into your address bar to see an example of a GET with a number of variables. In a POST command, the variables aren't carried along...
